2016: a year of transparency.

Here I am 15 days into the new year without a single goal set. There are the usual ones that I've sworn myself to upholding every year: eat healthy, work out more often, regulate my sleep schedule, act like an adult, blah blah blah. They're my go-to goals because, let's be honest, I didn't reach them the year before.

But I pinky-swore to myself that this year would be different. I would pick myself up by my fashionable bootstraps and throw myself into improvement with the enthusiasm of Leslie Knope.

Well with my past FULL of moments of mixed-signals and miscommunication, I figured that I could only benefit from a lesson in transparency. It's definitely this year's obvious goal choice, especially since I am a freaking COMMUNICATIONS major. good gravy hailey.

This is my year of open communication and free expression. I aim to find my voice and rightfully project it without fear of opposition. I vow to speak my mind and give life to my dreams, fears, and opinions, because gone are the days of letting my voice die unspoken. Here's to the year of my First Amendment rights.

xoxo hails.
